I want to tell you a story. It is the one that changed everything for me, and it is why I do this work now.
I am a veteran. But more than that, I carry wounds - the kind that are not visible from the outside and cut straight down into you. During my service I lived through things that stayed with me long after I put the uniform away. The noise, the chaos, the adrenaline, the memories that would not settle. I carried it like a weight on my chest every single day. And I watched brothers and sisters in arms shrink into silence, their pain hidden behind a brave face while they fought battles nobody could see.
Coming home was like stepping into a different world - cold, disconnected, heavy with grief nobody talked about. The nightmares. The constant anxiety. The feeling of being broken, or lost, or both. For years I believed I had to carry all of it alone, and I got very good at saying I was fine.
Then came the night it nearly ended. I reached the point where I could not see a way through, and I came closer to not being here than I have ever told most people.
I am still here. Something in me stopped, and waited, and listened. And in the strangest way, what caught my attention in that shattered place was hypnosis - the idea that there was a part of the mind underneath all of this that I had never once been taught how to reach. I needed to know more. From the lowest point I have ever stood in, that was the first thing in a long time that felt like a way forward instead of a way out.
That was the beginning. The more I learned, the more certain I became of something I now say to every person who sits down with me: healing is always possible. Whatever trauma, grief or pain you are carrying, it does not have to be the thing that defines you. The subconscious is vast, and treated with patience and compassion it can turn tragedy into something you survive and then something you use.
That is what I do now. I help people face the dark, put down what they have been carrying, and find the light again. I have been where you are. It is why I will not flinch at anything you bring me.
